An extremely steep hill was supposed to be turned into a World Cup track. Velosolutions was responsible for the overall layout and construction of the track.
Building the World Cup track in Champéry was already a great challenge back in 2006. Hosting its first World Cup race in 2007, the new DH track created a worldwide buzz, and not only within the bike scene. Ever since, it has remained one of the biggest attractions for mountain bikers; the bike track was revised and adapted in 2009 for the World Cup races in 2010 and the World Championships in 2011. Some of the additions included a footpath running alongside the track for spectators as well and platforms for the media that overlook certain parts of the DH course.
