Creating “Pure Alpine Trails” – this is what the Engadin Samnaun Val Müstair vacation region has written on its banner. With only minimal intervention in nature, maximum riding fun is to be made possible. Within the framework of the “MTB Masterplan”, this basic idea has now been put into practice for two years. In the short video below, we provide first insights into the project.
In 2019, the “MTB Masterplan” was launched by the Engiadina Bassa Val Müstair region. In addition to the enhancement of the offer and the added value in the region, the visitor guidance as well as the nature conservation are further goals. The radius of movement of the master plan includes the destination area of Engadin Samnaun Val Müstair. True to the motto: three valleys, one bike destination.
Cooperation with Velosolutions and Trailworks
Over a period of seven years, around 190 kilometers of trails are to be extended and 30 kilometers of new trails created. The sensitive environment demands a great deal of attention, which means a great deal of manual work and only little support from machines. The two local trail construction specialists, Velosolutions and Trailworks, anchor their globally gathered experience on the Grisons trails. Their work on the local trails is now presented in a video.
